Pops of Color

At Henrietta Heisler Interiors, we believe in creating homes that are as practical as they are beautiful, and our latest project—a charming row home—is no exception. This Lancaster City home is an example in blending inviting design elements with thoughtful, personalized touches to create a warm and welcoming space.

Through narrow open-concept seating, the dining, kitchen, and living areas provide a great home for gathering friends and family. The white brick fireplace, brought to life with a pop of color, blends with the newly repurposed chairs flanking the seating area. A playful foliage pattern complemented by matching custom pillows.

We added a window seat for additional seating and a nice place to slip on shoes as you head out or to curl up with a good book by the large windows.

Another standout feature of the design is the custom banquet seating in the dining area. This tailored piece was designed to maximize seating and fit seamlessly into the space and provides a better flow than a stand alone table. We chose two end chairs upholstered in a bright, bold pattern that brings energy and personality to the area. The colors were carefully selected to coordinate with the art palette throughout the first floor, ensuring harmony across the open-concept layout.

The kitchen is designed to be as practical as it is beautiful. The white upper cabinets and light blue lower cabinets create a fresh and airy feel. The quartz countertops provide plenty of space for meal prep and entertaining. Thoughtful details, such as the under-cabinet microwave and the small band of walnut on the stove hood enhance the space. The custom door provides extra light ensuring the kitchen remains open and inviting.

A special highlight of the kitchen is the custom-designed glass and walnut back door. The large window brings additional light into the kitchen—no small feat in a row home. The wooden door brings a lovely warmth that ties well into the custom walnut table, and detail on the hood.

Even the powder room received thoughtful touches, featuring a bold, fun wallpaper that makes the small space pop. The compact sink is effective while maximizing the room’s potential. We adorned the bathroom with gold accents, giving it a fun look.

From the custom furniture to the detailed cabinetry and tailored accents, every element in this home reflects the homeowner’s lifestyle and needs. This row home is now more than a house—it’s a haven, thoughtfully designed for comfort, connection, and style.
